About Us

The San Jacinto Rotary Club was started in 1954 and is one of the oldest Rotary Clubs in the Inland Empire. We are proud of our 63 year history of supporting our local and worldwide commitments as we demonstrate our dedication to "Service above Self".

Beginning in 2011, through the generous support of people throughout San Jacinto Valley as well as our club members, we have provided scholarships to San Jacinto High School, San Jacinto Valley Academy, and Mountain View High School graduates who might otherwise not have been able to attend college. For many of those students, it was the first time that they were recognized for their tremendous academic efforts or given encouragement to "catch their dreams."

In addition to our high school scholarships, this will be our twelfth year of presenting dictionaries or thesauri to every third grader in the San Jacinto Unified School District, San Jacinto Valley Academy, and St. Hyacinth's Academy.

Local and worldwide areas of service include: Salvation Army backpacks for students and Back to School baskets for new teachers; care packages to our troops overseas; canned food drives for our local pantry; Peanut Butter project providing food for severely malnourished children in sub-Saharan Africa; monthly support of meals to our local homeless shelter; book donations to our local libraries; leadership camps for our middle and high school students; Rotarian at Work days throughout the community; and donation of books to our primary aged children.

Every week our club hosts speakers on topics ranging from community to international issues. It also is a great time for networking and getting to know our local community and businesses better.

What is Rotary?

Rotary is the world's oldest service club organization. It's made up of more than 32,000 Rotary clubs in nearly 170 countries. The club members are called Rotarians. There are approximately 1.2 million business and professional leaders all around the world that make up the Rotary International.
